House in Masovia
The interior design of this house in Masovia, specifically in Osowiec, was born from the need to create a space in harmony with its surroundings. From the beginning, both I and the clients wanted the interior to reflect and interact with the natural environment - hence the use of natural materials such as wood and stone, complemented by neutral tones and shades of green referencing the landscape outside.
The aesthetic was inspired by wabi-sabi as well as the clients’ love for travel. Even before the design phase began, the client had collected a handcrafted tableware set during her holidays, which turned out to perfectly match the character of the home. These types of details bring authenticity and a personal dimension to the space. The design is completed with microcement flooring and a textured plaster wall framing large windows.
The clients were open to bold solutions - such as a kitchen in a color that may appear classic at first glance but brings depth, or green tiles in the shower area. One of the main design challenges was creating a staircase to the mezzanine, as it was not included in the original architectural plan. The final structure, made of solid oak wood, integrated seamlessly into the home.
Woven cane is used as a repeating detail - on the fronts of the TV cabinet and the wardrobe in the bedroom. The bedroom itself was created as a space for rest and calm, featuring a deep chocolate-colored wall and soft textiles.
This project is filled not only with aesthetics and function, but also with art. The client - a highly creative and art-sensitive person - and I quickly found common ground, which led to the inclusion of original art and artisan pieces throughout the home.
The interior features:
a custom-made side table by Magdalena Szmydtke,
ceramics by Sylwia Jasiuk,
the OKO GOLD vase by Malwina Konopacka,
sensory compositions by Nina Dziwoki in the bedroom,
and paintings by me, Dominika Augustynek - adorning the walls of the living room and hallway.

This interior is proof that design can be a personal story - one of aesthetics, journeys, emotions, and trust.
